Kolchak: The Night Stalker Newsletter |
Do you remember Friday nights in 1974?Eagerly awaiting your favorite TV show about a bumbling newspaper reporter named Carl Kolchak? The scary, yet often times silly, monster-of-the-week? If you do remember Kolchak: The Night Stalker, then "...it couldn't happen here" is the newsletter you've been waiting for. Inspiration for The X-Files, K:TNS started as two successful TV movies - The Night Stalker in 1972 and The Night Strangler in 1973. The weekly series followed in 1974/75 but only lasted twenty episodes. As a reporter for the INS, Kolchak tangled with werewolves, mummies, zombies, killer androids, headless motorcyclists and many other strange terrors. Now, Mark A. Schultz, contributor to Japanese science fiction fanzines G-FAN and The Kaiju Review, takes you back in time to the early 1970's to relive those wonderful memories of horror and humor with "...it couldn't happen here," the quarterly published newsletter from RUBBERbEAR Printings. |
